Good education in a Godly centered environment is a vital aspect of a child's development in life. Education not only increases the chances for a child to have a brighter future, but it is also key to effecting much needed changes in rural communities.
Education provides children that are from poor social economic background opportunity of escaping from their present day negative circumstances and the future chance of positively influencing their community in their adult life. Equipping underprivileged children with the required Christian values, skills and educational intelligence needed to enhance their future success is central to Freedom House kingdom mandate. In line with this mandate, the vision of Freedom House School, Kampala, Uganda was inspired by God and birthed by Freedom House International Ministries, London, UK in 2012.

The central aims of Freedom House School are to:

  • Advance education to underprivileged children through a child sponsorship scheme.
  • Afford children from a mixed background chance of a good educational start in life and opportunity for a brighter future through child sponsorship or highly subsidized tuition fees.
  • Provide Godly centered excellent education in an environment, that is safe and conducive for learning.
  • Increase the chances of a child's global competitiveness irrespective of his or her background,
  • Ensure each child has an an engaging proactive and excellent learning experience irrespective of his or her socio-economical background.

The Sponsorship Scheme

The sponsorship targets disadvantaged and orphaned children from the outskirts of trading centers, which are predominantly characterized by slums whose residents are low income earners engaged in mainly petty trading such as market vending and street hawking. These trading centers are in the vicinity of the school and Freedom House School is committed to helping needy children from these areas such as Kabalagala, Nsambya and Kansanga, to acquire a good and quality education.
The environment in these areas is further characterized by alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, poor sanitation, poor housing conditions, lack of basic utilities such as electricity and clean water. A sizeable percentage of the residents in these areas are unemployed. As a consequence, several sees prostituting their bodies and engaging in all kinds of criminal activities as their only means for survival.
